BCLI’s Child Protection Project Committee continued its review of the Child, Family and Community Service Act at its January 2020 committee meeting, moving on to a new topic. Project Update: Engaging People Living with Dementia in Decision-Making

2019 year in review for child-protection project

BCLI / CCEL remembers the Honourable Anne Rowles

BCLI / CCEL regrets the passing of its supporter, benefactor and friend, the Honourable Anne Rowles, on 13 November 2019. Madam Justice Rowles was a member of the British Columbia Court of Appeal from 1991 to 2011. She served more than 28 years on the Bench in total, having been first appointed to the County Court in 1983 and then to the Supreme Court in 1986 before her elevation to the Court of Appeal.
